There are so many fantastic books written by Stephen King, that there are too many to list.. Here are just a few of the reviews I came across, while looking for an incredibly scary book to read.
Even Better Than The Last,
The Dark tower.Book 2
King once again brings his vivid imagination to the story with some amazing visual images More action packed than the first I thought this was great, and can't wait for the third.

Once again, King's imagination is indescribably vivid. The world of the Dark Tower is rife with truly real and wonderful characters. Their perils are agonizing, their stories are heart-rending, and the reader leaves with a true sense of wonder and awe. Throughout the series, there is a very real, believable sense that there is immensely more to our world that what meets the eyes.
Wow, what a set
Three of the best novels Stephen King ever wrote:
1) Carrie - the first. Even if you've seen the movie a hundred times, this is one creepy little novel;
2) 'Salem's Lot - the scariest. King sets a mood that crawls right under your skin and stays there - heck, it moves around in there;
3) The Shining - the classic. A brilliant horror novel that is a classic along the lines of Lovecraft or even Poe --
These are three of King's BEST, if they had included "The Stand" here (still King's best novel ever), they could have called it the Definitive Stephen King. Definitely a must-have for all you Koontz and Saul fans that don't realize who was the first and the book.
Rapt and Trapped,
I am rapt and trapped by the mind-bending landscapes, timescapes and mindscapes of The Dark Tower - and loving it! There are many twists and turns in the story that are hard to keep in mind for me on this first reading - but at the rate I am turning pages the re-reading may start as soon as I turn the last page of book seven.
